With everything going on in the world right now, we all just need to relax and calm down by taking some time to care for ourselves. Since most of us are currently stuck in quarantine, we have some extra time on our hands to do something good for ourselves. We have gathered some of our best self care tips for you!

Self Care tip #1: Express gratitude

We encourage you to write down at least 5 things that you are grateful for every day. This will help you realize how many things there are in this world to be grateful for.

Self Care tip #2: Exercise

Its petty obvious that exercise can and will help improve your physical state. Making sure you are active, is important because it’s a big part of self care. Caring for your body and state is one of the best things you can do to improve your self care.

Self Care tip #3: Unplug

Take some time for yourself and just unplug off of the rest of the world. Stop constantly checking your phone, binge watching Netflix, or texting everyone in your contacts. Put all that aside for a while and just unplug. It will feel good to take that time to focus on yourself.

Self Care tip #4: Create a skin care routine

Your skin needs some attention occasionally. Put on a face mask, give yourself a face massage, or even just do your everyday skin care routine. Your skin will thank you later.

Self Care tip #5: Eat healthy

Whether it’s a snack or a whole meal, try eating healthy. They say that what we eat is what we are, so if that’s true make sure to eat healthy so you can start becoming a healthy person in general. Including greens in your diet is a big plus as it energizes you and gives you the nutrients your body needs. It’s a good idea to eat mindfully and have a schedule.

Self Care tip #6: Meditate

Meditation is so good for you and your body. It releases stress and the tension in your body. Try meditating even for just five minutes a day, and you will feel so much better.

Self Care tip #7: Get outside

Nature has so many benefits. Try taking a walk after dinner. It will help you get your vitamin D, get your steps in , and will help you clear your mind in so many ways. Spend some time listening to the sounds around you, and noticing the beauty of nature around you.

Self Care tip #8: Clean/ Declutter

Not everyone is a big fan of cleaning, but just taking 10 minutes a day to declutter your space and clean can help you feel much better. It is much easier to focus in a clean space and it helps you feel more organized.
